Stockroom Team Leader

We are looking for a Stockroom Team Leader to join our Retail Shop team.

Contract Type        Full-time permanent

Salary                        £20,000-24,000 per annum

Days of Work         5 out of 7 days per week

Sunday- Monday on a rota basis

Pension                    Employer 5% Employee 4%

Holidays                   33 days per annum inclusive of bank holidays

Coordinating daily operations, maintaining inventories, ordering stock, preventing excess stock, eliminating non-usable items, and solving inconsistencies between inventory and stock records.  Work closely with the retail store team to ensure optimum stock replenishment in store.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and tidy stockroom, receiving and processing deliveries, replenishing the shop floor, managing damaged stock, coordinating monthly stock-takes, as well as supporting the sales floor team.


Overview of skills and experience required:


  • Supervisory experience within a retail stockroom/warehouse environment, including the supervision of staff
  • Experience working with computerised stock control systems, using inventory systems, and booking in/out stocks whilst dealing with suppliers and couriers
  • Previous experience working in a busy customer focused retail stock room environment



  • 3yrs experience of managing a large retail stock room
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of the functionality of stock systems.
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Numerically competent.
  • Managing and motivating a team in accordance with the principles of performance management and personal development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
